text manifesto

On the one of the first classes, it was suggested to think over the phenomenon of using text in art. We could make critical analysis of this movement in art or play like an artist and write manifesto, which will show our strategy of using text in imaginary art piece.

So… we wrote a manifesto by our small group, which were inspired by the philosophy of Edmund Husserl and the statement that the object itself means much more than the word can name.

  • A word doesn’t mean anything!
  • People gave names to each thing, putting them in to the frame of forms and meanings
  • A thing means much more then determination of the word itself
  • We must get rid of the language chain and perceive it like a visual object
